“All grown-ups were once children… but only a few of them remember it.” These timeless words by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry became a source of inspiration for our fifth-grade students.
A true celebration of creativity took place at the British-Georgian School. Fifth graders presented an original adaptation of The Little Prince. The performance was created through the integration of literature and music lessons and was made especially captivating by the musical compositions of Edward Grieg.
The Stage and the Shadow Theatre – One Shared Space
The performance stood out for its unique format, combining live acting with the artistry of shadow theatre. Students performed both on stage and behind the screen, using shadows to bring the characters to life.
To achieve this result, students followed an engaging preparation process:
They attended a shadow theatre performance and participated in a special workshop;
During applied arts lessons, they created the figures and characters themselves.
It was a day that reminded us once again how important it is to remain “grown-up children” at heart.
