Dedicated to excellence since 2003

I am delighted by my observations during September visit to BGS. The excited buzz of the new school year was evident in all classes I visited. Students returned to school prepared to get down to work quickly, as the school welcomed a new record number of children. I concentrated my educational attention at the British International Programme, where, once again, the school’s results were impressive. This applied to the iPrimary results – grade VI as well as to the IGCSE results in grades IX and X, and the IAS and IA level results in grades XI and XII. The two new classrooms, created for our Senior students, make excellent use of one end of our school library. I was able to conduct assemblies with classes throughout the school, giving older students updates on the UK Government and our new King Charles III, and enjoying some educational songs in English with younger students! I also led two Teacher Development sessions for the school’s educators, updating them on the latest pedagogical thinking from the UK. All in all, it has been wonderful to return to BGS at this time in the educational calendar. It has been a privilege to meet so many parents including of course many new to the school. We plan that I shall return to BGS to monitor and moderate the school trial (“mock”) examinations in the British International system in March next year. Until then!
Studying at BGS was a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the Georgian and British national curricula and become exposed to a multinational world with a huge diversity of views, which developed my critical thinking and problem solving skills. A professional academic environment at BGS motivated me to take more personal responsibility and act as a member of the modern society. Moreover, passing the international GCSE and Advanced Level exams, along with the Georgian national exams, greatly supported my application process to a multitude of European universities, subsequently securing my place in The Hague, Netherlands. Thanks to BGS, I managed…
Learning at BGS gave me an opportunity to get excellent British and Georgian education oriented on developing such skills as critical thinking, problem solving, team work and strong sense of personal responsibility. The gained knowledge and experience helped me to adapt to the university studies very easily. To my mind, the unique point of BGS is its diverse and interesting environment created both by its faculty and students. Masho Okribelashvili 2022 graduate student
Since my early childhood I knew that in the future I would make a doctor, and I strongly believe that I developed all the necessary skills for this complex and responsible profession at BGS. Studying at Tbilisi State Medical University is quite difficult and requires perfect time management. Besides, the future doctors should be able to get acquainted with foreign news in the field of their activity, think critically, take responsibility, solve problems in time, take care of others and be charitable. I can easily claim that I acquired all these qualities during my studies at BGS. I think that…
