Educational Field Trip

As part of the project “The History of the Georgian Book and Periodicals,” fifth and sixth grade students visited the National Library of Georgia. They learned about the history of the library, explored early printed books and newspapers, visited the reading halls and the special storage area, and toured Ilia Chavchavadze’s memorial study.
Students also viewed rare editions of Iakob Gogebashvili’s works, including the first editions of Dedaena and Bunebis Kari, as well as the famous The Knight in the Panther’s Skin printed at the printing house of Vakhtang VI.
