BGS Celebrates Its 19th Graduation Ceremony
The most significant and emotional event of the academic calendar has taken place: in a formal ceremony, the school bid farewell to its 19th cohort of Year 12 graduates. As is tradition, the evening commenced with the national anthems of Georgia and the United Kingdom.
This year, eight outstanding young people graduated from the school. Each of them will receive a dual diploma, comprising both the Georgian national secondary school diploma and the British international secondary school qualification. This recognition provides our graduates with a unique opportunity to continue their education seamlessly at leading universities around the world. The majority have already received offers from a range of highly reputable higher education institutions.
The school leadership, their homeroom teacher, and invited guests extended their congratulations to the graduates and wished them success as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.
The ceremony was honoured by the presence of the Vice-Rector of the British University, Mr Levan Gurgenidze, a representative of one of BGS’s partner organisations, who addressed the graduates with an inspiring speech.
On behalf of the graduating class, Saba Samkharadze and Mariam Davituliani delivered heartfelt farewell speeches in both Georgian and English to the audience.
One of the highlights of the evening was a series of specially prepared video tributes created by the students and the school administration. These videos brought to life the graduates’ most cherished memories, friendships, and the unforgettable years they spent in school.
Representing the parents’ community, Mrs Tika Tkemaladze also addressed the guests. The evening concluded with the traditional ceremonial cutting of the graduation cake and the sharing of heartfelt wishes for the graduates’ future.
BGS is proud of its 19th graduating class. We wish each and every graduate the confidence and determination to pursue their goals with integrity and success.
