Old Tbilisi

The 9th graders were given opportunity to have lessons in an open space instead of the coronavirus issues and hybrid lessons, and again all the classmates could see each other. During the outdoor lesson, students toured round Old Tbilisi, starting from the Metekhi Church and the site of the historic fortification. After that, the students acquired the knowledge on history of the city and viewed the places that underwent changes within different periods, which were compared to modern times through old photos. Students saw the Berlin Wall, the Abo Tbileli Church, the city’s historic-religious buildings, Narikala Castle and parts of the historic fence.
8 grade students worked on the project “Cultural Monuments of Old Tbilisi” on the lesson of Georgian language and literature. Later on the outdoor lesson, they took photos, recorded their impressions, processed the issues, and made presentations.
